1. Buying

1a. Do you ship anywhere in the world?

Absolutely! We’re proud to deliver your cards safe and sound to you, regardless of country. Be it Asia or Europe, Australia or Antarctica… rest assured you’ll receive your cards! Keep in mind, location can and will affect both shipping costs and travel times.

1b. What condition are your cards?

Unless otherwise specified, our default condition is “NM/Mint,” implying that the cards have little to any wear whatsoever. Typically, our cards are fresh-out-of-pack condition, and look brand spankin’ new! If they aren’t quite that perfect, they’re still very close. Any cards not quite in pristine condition can be bumped down to Good, or even Poor, but this is very rare, and for the most part you can expect NM/Mint condition cards every time.

1c. I can’t seem to find the card I’m looking for.

We do our best to keep our inventory fully stocked, with as many hard-to-get extended art and foil variants as possible. We should ideally have every single card printed from a base set, so if for some reason a card is missing, feel free to contact us and let us know immediately. Cards from sub-sets and specialty products are also usually expected to be listed (and in stock!) but there’s always a chance we’ve either made a mistake, or have not yet invested in a side product. Keep checking back!

1d. The card I’m looking for is out of stock.

Unfortunately, high volume of sales on key cards can result in a period of time where we are trying to restock to have any available. We do our best to keep our inventory stocked up at all times, and will do our best to get more before you know it. Feel free to add cards to your wishlist, if we are sold out. This will allow us to contact you if we expect a card may be sold out for an extended period of time!

1e. Do you do refunds or returns?

1f. Can I submit an order and pick it up at an event?

We offer an “Event Pick-Up” option when checking out! This service is free of charge, and will allow you to collect your cards on-site in person at whichever event you specify. Please note that if you are looking to place an Event Pick-Up for an upcoming event TMM will be vendoring, but do not see the option available yet, that you can still place the order and alert us to the issue in your comments section when checking out. We’ll refund you the shipping, place your order in the Event Pick-Up pile, and create the shipping option for future purchases!

2. Selling

2a. How do you send payment for cards?

We primarily use Paypal, but can also send checks. You may also opt to receive store credit, to be used anywhere on TheMetamart.com!

2b. How long do I have to wait to get paid?

We will send payment for cards the same day they are received. Essentially, you have the power to ship your cards via any mailing courier and speed you desire, and the choice will have a direct impact on how quickly the turn around time will be in us getting your cash to you.

2c. Can I submit a list on your buylist and hand it in at an event?

Yes. If you would like to submit the order, and leave a comment mentioning that you will be hand delivering the order at any event we plan on vendoring/running, we will have the cash there and waiting for you. If you forget to mention this in the order, and show up with the cards anyway, we will need to verify the order on-site, but otherwise should have no problems completing it afterwards. Please be sure to print out a copy of your Buy Order to bring with you on-site, if you intend on handing it in. This will help speed up the process, as we will not need to look it up online!

2d. I’ve mailed some cards to sell, but the prices changed en route.

If the price went down, we’ll honor the higher price you locked in at the time of the order. If the price went up, we’ll honor the new, higher price. Either way, you’ll get the better rate of the two.

2e. I have cards to sell that are not on your buylist. Will you buy them anyway?

We buy full collections, and also have rates for bulk singles. Please email sales@themetamart.com with any inquiries regarding selling collections. As it is, we currently have every Contemporary rare and epic listed on our buy list, so chances are good you can accurately quote your collection without our help, though!

3. Store Credit

3a. What can I use store credit for?

Store credit can be used for anything found on TheMetamart.com! Singles, sealed product, TMM merchandise, grab bags… you name it! If you can add it to a shopping cart, you can use store credit to pay for it.

3b. Will my store credit ever expire?

Store credit will only ever “expire” if The Metamart goes out of business, and in that unlikely scenario any remaining store credit will be paid out in cash. Otherwise, your credit will be here waiting!

3c. Can I use store credit at an event to purchase product?

Sure can! You can use store credit for anything we offer at our vendor booth. We will process your order on-site as a point of sale purchase and process your store credit on the spot.

3d. When do I receive my store credit once I’ve mailed my cards?

We complete all mail-ins the same day they are received. Once we’ve confirmed the cards are all here, and in the condition required, we will apply the credit to your account automatically by submitting the order as Completed.

4. Content

4a. How do I become a featured writer for TheMetamart.com?

Our featured writer positions are paid positions, and as a result are limited. Once filled, a new writer is not taken on until one of our existing members opts out of being featured. When this happens, we will post updates announcing our search for new writers, and just like any job opening we will be taking applications. Our featured writers are expected to be very knowledgeable and experienced, and as a result will usually be well-known competitive figures within the community. Even still, we may seek out writers for other niche spots, so always keep a look out for those announcements!

4b. Will you publish my article/video/podcast if I submit one?

We offer anyone that visits TheMetamart.com the opportunity to submit their own content. If chosen to be published, we’ll provide the author with 20.00 in complimentary store credit! Content chosen from our guest submissions will be used when needed, at any given time, and will be edited as needed before being posted. Not all submissions will end up being published. We strongly urge would-be writers to consider submitting content as relevant to the current on-goings of WoW:TCG as possible, especially regarding current decks, coming or recently passed events, hot singles, new sets, and anything else readers are eager to read about in the moment. Sending us an article in July about the Darkmoon Faire you attended in March, for example, is probably not a good idea!

4c. How soon can I expect to see my content published, once submitted?

It really is impossible for us to say. We plan on posting featured articles, blog posts, podcasts, news updates, event coverage and more… leaving the window for guest submissions to be visible, but narrow. Expect a few a week, with the opportunity for more as we grow. If you haven’t seen your submission pop up in 2-3 weeks, there’s a good chance we just couldn’t find the time to fit it in. Also, if you decide to submit your content to multiple websites, and it ends up published somewhere else, please be sure to let us know.

5. Events

5a. Will you come to my area if I ask nicely?

We get requests daily to travel to all sorts of locations to host events. Believe us when we say we would if we could, but there are many factors at play in choosing which venues we end up at. While we love the input, and may even ask for ideas on occasion, there’s a good chance we’ve already decided on our next locations well before the final details emerge.

5b. How often do you run your own events?

Our goal is to have our own event series take place once every couple months, sandwiched in the middle of Darkmoon Faires hosted by Cryptozoic. We would like to see one major event, ran by either of us, every month. As we venture into our 2012 Event Series, we will begin to see how successful it ends up being. If turnout is great, who knows… we may increase our numbers in 2013! If the turnout doesn’t quite get there, we may need to re-evaluate what we’re capable of managing. Either way, time will tell!

5c. Can we expect to see you at (insert event name here) ?

We show up at every Darkmoon Faire within the United States, and almost every one in Europe, in addition to both the NACC and EUCC each year. We also never miss a World Championship event. We’ve also vendored the last few Gen Con events, and plan to continue on doing so. We’re constantly monitoring events on the horizon, to see which would best suit what we have to offer. If you have any suggestions, feel free to let us know!

5d. What do you offer at your table, when you vendor an event?

We try to bring a very wide selection of singles, in addition to sleeves and other WoW:TCG products. The closer the event is to the Northeast, the more you’ll see us selling. When we can load up our cars and drive to the location, we bring it all. When we have to fly, we bring the essentials, but trim the extras. What this ends up meaning is every event is unique. We cannot guarantee one way or another what we’ll end up having on hand. You can rest assured we’ll have the hottest, most in-demand singles, but anything after that is up in the air. We also do not tend to bring commons and uncommons, as we usually do not have the room. If you want us to bring certain ones for you to the location, submit them as an order beforehand!

5e. If I travel to your event, can I expect you to honor the prizes you’ve posted?

We will always honor our prizes. If ten people show up for a $5,000 prize pool event, we’re paying out $5,000 guaranteed. Every time. We will never back out of anything we’ve advertised.

5f. When do you pay out the prizes advertised for your events?

Unless otherwise specified, we will pay out all prizes on location to the winners. Any participant required to fill out the appropriate tax forms will be expected to do so before prizes can be given.

5g. I’m interested in volunteering at one of your events. What should I do?

We will be posting Judge Applications on our website, in addition to posting in the Judge section of the official wowtcg.com forums. Check back 4-6 weeks prior to an event to see our posting regarding volunteer opportunities!
